Miley Cyrus Narrates Video Marking Anniversary of Elizabeth Taylor's 85th Birthday

Miley Cyrus is a child star who grew up to be an advocate for the LGBTQ community.  That's one reason she was tapped to narrate a new video that marks what would have been the late Elizabeth Taylor's 85th birthday. The three-minute video, released by the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, shows the iconic actress' evolution from child star, to the most famous movie star on the planet, to a paparazzi target, activist and spokesperson for AIDS patients at a time when few wanted to even acknowledge the disease existed.  The video ends with an invitation to text the word LOVE…

Justin Bieber didn't pee his pants, but he's happy if you laughed at him for it

Justin Bieber wants to make one thing clear: he didn't pee his pants.  However, if you thought he did and laughed about it, he's cool with that. A photo of Justin walking down the street with a big wet stain on the crotch area of his sweatpants went viral, with many assuming that he'd had an "accident."  Well, he did, but not that kind. As he explained on Twitter, "Someone got me flowers and I was driving, made a turn, and the water spilled on my d*** area...Didn't bother me if it made ya laugh nice!" Justin also poked fun…

Eight-time Oscar winner predicts a song with "integrity" from a "hit" film will win on Sunday night

La La Land is expected to sweep Sunday night's Academy Awards, but does that count the Best Original Song category?  Justin Timberlake's Trolls hit "Can't Stop the Feeling!" is nominated, as is "How Far I'll Go," from Disney's Moana, and a song by Sting.  But with two songs from La La Land in that category, does any other song even have a shot?  Well, yes, actually. "Of course it has a shot," says eight-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken, who co-wrote the songs for Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and many other films.  Why? Because, Menken says, the…

Oscar-bound John Legend recalls "incredible" experience at 2015 Academy Awards

John Legend is headed to the Academy Awards Sunday night: not only does he appear in the night's most nominated film, La La Land, but he's also performing the movie's two Oscar-nominated songs during the telecast.  Sure, it's exciting, but this is sort of a "been there, done that" kind of thing for John: he performed on the show two years ago, and went home with an Oscar to boot. In 2015, John and rapper Common performed their nominated song "Glory," from the movie Selma, on the Oscars telecast, and ended up winning the Best Original Song trophy.  The two…

Sara Bareilles to Perform During Oscars "In Memoriam" Segment

Sara Bareilles knows how to deliver an emotional performance, so it's no wonder she's been tapped to sing during this year's "In Memoriam" segment at Sunday night's Academy Awards. The singer, who'll be making her Broadway debut next month in the musical she wrote, Waitress, will sing while photos of dearly-departed stars and notable Hollywood figures appear on screen. Among those sure to be included in the montage: Carrie Fisher and her mom Debbie Reynolds, who died within a day of one another in December, and Prince, whose movie Purple Rain won the Oscar for Best Original Song Score.  He…
