Grammy-Nominated "Star Wars" Geeks Are Psyched for "The Force Awakens"

Just because you're a Grammy-nominated musician doesn't mean you can't also be a total Star Wars geek -- just ask Hozier. The Irish singer/songwriter tells ABC Radio that he can't wait to see the new movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but not because he's dying to see the new characters, or the returning cast from the original film.  No -- Hozier says he's interested in technical stuff. Hozier says he was really disappointed in the three Star Wars prequels because he thought all the CGI special effects ruined them.  "I think the essence was lost in the prequels," he…

Madonna Declares in Court Document Sean Penn Never Assaulted Her

Madonna has come to the aid of her ex-husband Sean Penn, declaring in his amended defamation suit against Empire creator Lee Daniels that Penn never struck her during their relationship in the 1980s. Penn's complaint stems from a remark Daniels made during a September interview with The Hollywood Reporter in which he tried to defend Empire star Terrence Howard, who had been accused of domestic abuse. "[Terrence] ain't done nothing different than Marlon Brando or Sean Penn, and all of a sudden he's some f*****'n demon," Daniels told the industry trade publication. "That's a sign of the time, of race,…

Ed Sheeran’s "X" Goes Double-Platinum

Earlier this week, Ed Sheeran went silent on social media in preparation for a much-needed break. But before he disappears from the spotlight completely, he has one more accolade to claim. The singer’s album X [Multiply] has been certified double-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, meaning it has scored sales of two million in the U.S. alone.
