Adam Lambert Buys Home in Los Angeles

Adam Lambert is a new homeowner. He recently dropped nearly three million bucks on a home in Hollywood Hills West, according to the Los Angeles Times. The property offers nearly 38 hundred square feet of living space. There are three bedrooms and four bathrooms, plus a screening room, a gym and more. Adam better get settled quickly -- he’ll begin touring with the legendary British rock group Queen in a few weeks. Mariah Carey's newly released album, Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse, is projected to have a modest sales start. According to Hits Daily Double, the singer's fourteenth studio effort is expected to sell approximately 60,000 to 65,000 copies in its first week. Industry forecasters suggest the sales will give Carey a top three debut. Today's music charts may belong to younger artists, but when it comes to successful tours, it's the veteran acts that rule.  Billboard Boxscore has compiled a list of the top 25 music stars whose tours have raked in the most money since 1990, and the tally is dominated by artists over the age of 40, and many of whom are older than 50. Apple to Acquire Beats Music & Beats Electronics

Earlier this month, there were initial reports that Apple was looking to acquire Beats Electronics and Beats Music, founded in 2008 by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine. Now it's official.  Apple has announced that the companies are being acquired for a total of $3 billion.  The deal is expected to close by the end of September. The deal is the most expensive acquisition in Apple’s 38-year history and includes the subscription streaming music service Beats Music, and Beats Electronics, maker of Beats headphones, speakers and audio software.
