A woman has claimed that she was attacked by Tory Lanez and his rumored girlfriend Kaylin Garcia. According to TMZ β who obtained the police report, model Celina Powell, the alleged victim, has claimed that she was outside the rapper's Miami condo building on Friday (May 1st) when he confronted her and tried to grab her phone.
Powell said that when she tried to walk away, she was blindsided by Kaylin Garcia, who approached her behind. According to Powell, Garcia wrapped her arm around her shoulder and neck and pulled her to the ground. Powell said that Garcia tried to kick her but she was able to get up.
At that point, Garcia allegedly got into Lanez' white Bentley and they pulled off. The police report says there is surveillance footage of Lanez getting into the car but not the actual altercation. Powell has claimed that she blacked out during the alleged attack but when she came to, she was badly bruised with back and neck pain. She refused to get medical care at the scene, but was later treated at the hospital for her injuries.
Powell told the site that she and Lanez lives in the same building but they never actually met in person until Friday (May 1st). She claimed that he was upset about her contacting him on Instagram and making fun of his hairline. They have also had online beef in the past.
Meanwhile, a source close to Lanez said that Celina is the one who approached him and began to harrass him. The source added that t he two have a very nasty history, with Powell once allegedly bragging about taking Lanez money and also posted his number online. The source also confirmed that the two never actually met in person.
TORY LANEZ LAUNCHES DREAM CITY FUND TO BENEFIT COVID-19 RELIEF EFFORTS
In more positive news, Tory Lanez announced yesterday (May 4th) that he is launching the Tory Lanez Dream City Fund to benefit COVID-19 relief efforts. The fund is a collaboration between The Dream City Project, which he founded with his father in 2012 to help inspire and mentor youth, and the Los Angeles based charity, Dream Center.
Money raised will provide meals and diapers for underserved families in Los Angeles and other communities nationwide. Tory kicked off the efforts by pledging to cover the cost of the first 50,000 diapers, Amazon Music promised to match the costs.
Tory said in a statement to CNN about the Dream City Fund, βIt is very important that any artist give back because at some point you were also regular. At some point, you were a normal person like everyone else. I always tell artists that people feel exactly how you felt when you were in that place β.
