A cheese plant in Chilton is closing.
Foremost Farms is reporting there are significant challenges because of the plant’s layout, and the age of the facility. The company is also blaming a significant drop in orders on coronavirus.
About 50 people work there, and they make Italian cheeses that are sold for sandwiches. The plant was built in the 1940s.
