The Democrat and Republican on the November ballot for vice president in November both made campaign stops in Wisconsin Monday.
Republican Vice President Mike Pence was at Dairyland Power Cooperative in La Crosse. He spoke about the protests in Kenosha, after Jacob Blake was shot by a police officer. Pence says there’s no excuse for rioting and looting in that city, or others in the country.
Democrat Kamala Harris toured a union training facility for electrical workers near Milwaukee. She also met with Jacob Blake’s family, close to Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee. She says they’re an incredible family, and they’re carrying the weight of a lot of voices on their shoulders.
Jill Biden, the wife of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, will talk with moms from the Green Bay area this afternoon. She’s holding a virtual meeting to see how they’re handling the start of the school year with online classes.
