Well, this is a bit unsettling. I’ve seen memes, and jokes for years about people thinking chocolate milk comes from brown cows, but I thought it was mostly a joke. It’s not.
While I 100% do NOT find it shocking that a few people out there believe this, I suppose the number of people that do is baffling to me.
In a recent online study conducted by the Innovation Center of U.S. Dairy, we found out that 7 percent (!!!) of Americans believe chocolate milk comes from brown cows. Now, that may not seem like very much at first glance… but that is 16.4 million people! That’s about the population of the entire state of Pennsylvania! Or as Eddie puts it, if there are 100 people in my favorite store, Costco, then 7 of them believe chocolate milk comes from brown cows.
I need a nap.
