It’s been less than a year since Taco Bell gave us what we really wanted: The Mexican Pizza. They Stupidly removed it from the menu, and fans of the delicacy were none the thrilled.
Because I am a true professional, the day it came out, I went to Taco Bell. Journalism is a demanding job, but someone’s gotta do it. I got there early to avoid a line because I’m smart. You can read all about that here.
And now Taco Bell is stepping their game up in a BIG way… a giant oversized Mexican pizza! It’s the size of an actual pizza! They call it: the Big Ass Mexican Pizza. I wonder how long it took them to come up with that one. Just look at this beauty.

Taco Bell is rolling out the specialty item for Super Bowl Sunday, but there’s a catch. (There always is.)
You can’t have one. They’re only available to certain people selected on Taco Bell’s app and live in Glendale, AZ. – where the Super Bowl is being played.
It’s interesting- I find myself perplexed at my own self. Last year, when they reintroduced the Mexican pizza to the menu, I was excited but left feeling not very satisfied. It was just okay. Not amazing, but not bad. I wouldn’t ever turn one down. But the idea of a GIANT Mexican pizza… I can’t help but feel like I need it. It sounds so damn good right now. I’ll never understand myself.
There’s no word if Taco Bell plans on actually adding it to the menu in the future or not, but I say just do it for the story. Taco Bell is already legendary, but this is the kind of thing legends do. Do it.
