Where do you keep your ketchup? Do you keep it in the fridge or the cupboard?! Believe it or not, some people take this very seriously.
Most people keep almost all of their condiments in the fridge. I mean, the label even says to “refrigerate after opening,” so ketchup just seems like a no-brainer, right?
Wrong. Apparently, some people keep it in the cupboard.
Cupboard ketchup keepers say they don’t want to eat something hot off the grill with a condiment the same temperature as the milk in their fridge. That is a fair point. Others point out that the acidity from the vinegar in ketchup keeps it from spoiling. Then we have the people claiming that ketchup is kept out all day at restaurants and even the ketchup packets from fast food chains are never refrigerated. Another fair point.
Finally, Heinz, the ketchup king, has spoken, and the verdict is:
FYI: Ketchup. goes. in. the. fridge!!!
