Yep, everyone’s favorite cartoon rodent is really taking in the “new year/new me” attitude by starring in a brand new live-action horror flick.
As it turns out, the copywrite for the 1928 classic “Steamboat Willie” cartoon had expired, meaning it is public domain for anyone to use. So naturally, someone is turning it into a horror/slasher movie, because why not?
The official synopsis reads:
“It’s Alex’s 21st birthday, but she’s stuck at the amusement arcade on a late shift so her friends decide to surprise her, but a masked killer dressed as Mickey Mouse decides to play a game of his own with them which she must survive.”
Last year we saw the absolutely horrible slasher film Winnie The Pooh: Blood & Honey after the Winnie copywrite had also gone to public domain. Seriously, it’s God-awful, but please, watch it when you can.
