In case you missed it, which isn’t likely, Katie Schurk and Nick Vitrano are joining Otis Day to complete the KISS FM Morning Show!
WFRV stopped by the studio to talk with the three of them, giving them a chance to speak to the public about the situation and the opportunity to work together.
Katie said, “It was hard for us to realize how much we mean to people, but you guys mean so much to us and being a part of your daily lives, like, I’m just so excited to be a part of everybody’s daily lives again and have everybody come back into mine.”
Nick chimed in, emphasizing the unique bond they share with each other and their listeners. “You can’t manufacture it, it can only come through the airwaves and through that interaction. And I’m just really excited to rekindle that again with this community and with these two.”
Otis, Katie, and Nick go way back. Their strong friendship has developed over the many years of working together, and they expressed their excitement about being able to collaborate with friends on a daily basis.
Otis shared how thrilled he was about Katie and Nick joining him, saying, “We already had some comradery together, we had a friendship, I mean Katie used to babysit my kids. Nick knows their names, so that’s something.”
The chemistry between the trio is evident. There’s no question that they will have a lot of fun together and that there will be a lot to be excited about as they move forward.
As for the noncompete, Otis clarified that he will be joined by the pair each morning, but they won’t be on the air just yet. “That will be happening in the future, and we’re excited about that.”
Although they aren’t able to work together in the capacity that they’d like at this point, they are focusing on the positives of being able to collaborate once again.
Nick summed it up perfectly: “To be in the presence of people who love you, who are supportive of you, and are your greatest cheerleaders… To have people believe in you is really, really powerful.”
