A 50-year-old man named Clifton Williams was arrested by New York police on Friday for punching actor Steve Buscemi in a random attack earlier this month. Williams, who was identified as a suspect based on surveillance footage, hit Buscemi in the face on May 8th. The finally NYPD found him at a Brooklyn homeless shelter, and he confessed to the assault. He now faces two assault charges, one being a misdemeanor, and one being a felony due to Buscemi’s age. The 66-year-old actor was treated for injuries to his left eye but has since recovered. This comes after Buscemi’s Boardwalk Empire co-star Michael Stuhlbarg was also randomly attacked in New York City in March. (THR)
