A former high-ranking New York school official arrested in a local online child sex sting is pleading guilty to a child pornography charge.
David Hay entered his plea in federal court in Green Bay. He could spend between five and 20 years in prison.
The charge dates back to May of 2010, when Hay was working at Kettle Moraine High School. He was also principal at Tomah High School.
The 40-year-old was arrested last December at Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee. Federal prosecutors say he had sexually explicit conversations on a dating app, with an undercover Neenah police officer. The investigator was posing as a 14-year-old boy.
