We’ve been waiting for what seems like ages for a Sex and the City revival. Now we have one… And Just Like That has finally released a trailer for the forthcoming spin-off of the series.
And Just Like That will debut on HBO Max on December 9th with two episodes with the remaining 8 episodes to premiere every Thursday. Original series creator Michael Patrick King will also direct and write the first two episodes.
The original series premiered in 1998 and expanded into 6 seasons and 2 movies. The new series will explore how the lives of Charlotte (Kristen Davis), Carrie (Jessica Parker), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) have evolved and changed “as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.” Kim Cattrall, who originally played Samantha, is not part of the revival.
Mr. Big (Chris Noth), Anthony Marentino (Mario Cantone), Steve Brady (David Eigenberg), Harry Goldenblatt (Evan Handler), and the late Willie Garson who played Standford Blatch will all return for the series. In addition, And Just Like That brings on Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, and Karen Pittman.
