APPLETON, Wis. — Another half-step is added to the process of deciding whether to allow the Trout Museum to add a new facility in a section of the Ellen Kort Peace Park.
The Appleton Parks and Recreation Committee approves an amendment to require the art museum to present to the Appleton Common Council details on the strategic alignment, a business case discussion, and to allow the council to decide whether to move forward with the project.
During the public appearance session, residents like Elisa Degroot say Ellen Kort Peace Park is an asset that should not be tampered with.
The committee approved the amendment and voted to move forward with the revised Ellen Kort Peace Park Proposal.
