SHAWANO, Wis–The Pulaski School District will not allow Shawano County Sheriff’s detectives to interview students on school grounds about last Friday night’s bonfire explosion. The department will instead set up at the Pulaski Police Department building on Wednesday, and ask those who may have information about the incident to come in voluntarily to make a statement.
An updated press release from the Sheriff’s Office says all 17-people treated at area hospitals for burns were “self-transported”–meaning none of them were brought by ambulance. Detectives believe there may have been between 30 and 40 people who suffered some type of injuries.
The department is also looking for anyone that had video of the bonfire explosion to share that with investigators.
