I don’t know about you, but I remember the day Fyre Festival kicked off and went south very fast, and it was all unfolding live on social media. First was the picture of the pitiful sandwich. Remember, people paid BIG bucks to come to this “luxury” vacation festival in the Bahamas.
Then it was the “luxury cabins” which were actually just really crappy emergency FEMA tents.

The Fyre Festival mastermind and creator, Billy McFarland, has served his time and was released from prison. His new problem is finding a way to pay back the $26 million dollars he defrauded his investors. Billy thinks his new PYRT (pirate) idea is the answer.
He swears it’s not a festival, but it reaaaallllllyyyy sounds like it’s a festival. It involves a get-together in the Bahamas with artists and content creators, you can attend in person or virtually via metaverse, there’s also a “treasure hunt” event. I’m not really sure what’s going on here, because Billy specifically says it’s not a festival, metaverse, or event… but that’s exactly what it sounds like.
