Former Appleton Mayor James Sutherland has died. Sutherland passed away on December 14th in Indianapolis from acute heart failure. He was 84-years old. Sutherland was Mayor of Appleton from 1972 to 1980–before losing his re-election bid to Dorothy Johnson.
