The case of an Appleton man charged with killing his mother is on hold because of mental health issues.
Bradley Boettcher underwent a competency exam, and Winnebago County Judge John Jorgensen ruled he’s not fit to stand trial.
Jorgensen is committing Boettcher to the Department of Health Services. The judge believes with treatment, Boettcher will become competent.
Lee Ann Dorn was found dead in her apartment on Appleton’s south side in February of last year. Boettcher was arrested in Kentucky for driving drunk the next day.
