Josh Groban has announced that his upcoming Great Big Radio City Show performances, originally scheduled to take place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City later this year, have been rescheduled amid the ongoing global health crisis.
The performances were originally scheduled for June 20th, September 26th, and October 5th, and have been postponed to April 15th; April 16th and April 17th, 2021. Tickets for the June 20th show will be valid for the April 16th show; tickets for the September 26th show will be valid for the April 17th show; and tickets for the October 5th show will be valid for the April 15th show.
Josh has been having a “Movie Night” on YouTube.com/JoshGroban for one-time only screenings of his concert films, with Josh giving commentary, chatting with fans and answering questions. The next two “Movie Nights” will take place on May 28th (Live at the Greek) and June 11th (Josh Groban in Concert).
Groban sat down with CBS Sunday Morning and talked about singing in his bathroom for his #ShowerSongs series to entertain fans during the global coronavirus pandemic. “Not creepy, hopefully!” he laughed. He went on to explain that it started with his Billboard Live At-Home Concert performance in March, when he sang “You Raise Me Up” from his white-tiled shower. At the time, he told viewers who were watching live that he was doing it for “acoustics.”
The Grammy-, Emmy- and Tony-nominated singer-songwriter-actor also debuted his latest song, “Your Face,” composed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and performed and recorded while socially-distancing.
The musician joked that once the health crisis is over, he’s “gonna ask our greatest scientists to talk about why we sound so much better in the shower!”
Groban hosted his Billboard session to raise money for Meals on Wheels. In addition to “You Raise Me Up,” his March 20th set included “February Song,” “Changing Colors,” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” which he dedicated to front-line workers of the global coronavirus pandemic.
